Beach Party Nosh

As prepared by tbspAngela

Whether you are chillin’ lakeside or seaside, beach party snacks are a summer must have.

So there’s your cooler. Your empty cooler that’s screaming to be loaded up with delicious snacky snacks and packed next to the water noodles and beach blankets for your waterfront fun time with friends. The problem? You’re just as empty for ideas as that cooler is food and bevies. If you’re on the hook to keep your beach peeps fed and happy, here are some ideas that will help do just that.

Super Cool(er) Ideas

While most coolers are great for a day at the beach with the family, if you’re looking to host a larger group outing you’re going to want a cooler large enough (50 to 70 QT) to handle enough ice to keep things chilled for as long as possible.  Having this also gives you many more snack options to bring along.

You’ll want to pick foods that, for the most part, require only your hands for eating utensils.  The less mess you can make at the beach, the better. Mother nature and humanity will thank you. That said, here are some ideas to get you packin’ and hittin’ the sand.

Again, the less garbage and mess you make at the beach, the better. Serving on a stick is both fun and easy:

Dips are also great for the outdoors. Put them in a plastic container along with some cut up veggies in a Ziploc bag and you're set:

Expert Tips

For an interesting centerpiece, leave off the strawberries on the sharp end of the skewer. Place reserved melon half on a serving platter and stick the heart throb-bobs into it. For toddlers, arrange fruit and cheese on a tray.
