Everything you like most about breakfast is served up on a stick in this unique recipe and appealing presentation.

Ingredients

1
cup Original Bisquick™ mix
1/2
cup milk
1
egg
1/2
teaspoon grated orange peel
Pinch of nutmeg
4
strawberries, halved
8
grapes
8
(1-inch) cubes apple
8
(1-inch) wedges orange
4
sausage links, cooked and cut into 1-inch slices
8
wooden skewers

Directions

  • 1 In large bowl, stir together Bisquick mix, milk, egg, orange peel and nutmeg until well mixed.
  • 2 Spoon tablespoonfuls of batter onto hot greased griddle or skillet; cook 2 to 3 minutes on each side or until golden. Remove from griddle, and set aside.
  • 3 To make kabobs, thread a mini pancake, then a piece of fruit, then a piece of sausage, then another pancake, etc. on a skewer until it is full (you should have about 3 pancakes, 4 pieces of fruit and 2 pieces of sausage on each skewer). Repeat to use up ingredients.
Tips

Serve kabobs with warm maple syrup.

Pancake kabobs are a great breakfast for camping, traveling or feeding a crowd!

Have the kids help you put the kabobs together--just be sure none of the ingredients are too hot for their fingers to touch!
