This warm garlicky delight is ready in minutes.

Ingredients

garlic clove, finely chopped or 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/3
cup butter or margarine, softened
1
loaf (1 pound) French bread, cut into 1-inch slices

Directions

  • 1 Heat oven to 400ºF.
  • 2 Mix garlic and butter. Spread over 1 side of each bread slice. Reassemble loaf; wrap securely in heavy-duty aluminum foil.
  • 3 Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until hot.
Tips  

No time to chop garlic and you're out of garlic powder? Use 1 teaspoon of purchased chopped garlic instead.

Leftover garlic bread is easily returned to crisp perfection when reheated for about 5 minutes in a 350ºF oven.
