A favorite of Stevie Waltrip's family, these tender biscuits are seasoned with garlic and cheese. It's a recipe from the Betty Crocker Racing Family collection.

Ingredients

2
cups Original Bisquick™ mix
2/3
cup milk
1/2
cup shredded Cheddar cheese (2 ounces)
2
tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
1/8
teaspoon garlic powder

Directions

  • 1 Heat oven to 450ºF.
  • 2 Stir Bisquick mix, milk and cheese until soft dough forms. Drop by 9 spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
  • 3 Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown. Stir together butter and garlic powder; brush over warm biscuits.
Tips

Stevie's Recipe Tips:

  • "When it's time for our family's spaghetti night, I make Parmesan-Herb Biscuits. I stir in 1 teaspoon dried basil leaves with the Bisquick mix and use finely shredded Parmesan cheese instead of the Cheddar cheese."
  • "For a quick appetizer, I drop dough by teaspoonfuls onto a cookie sheet and bake 6 to 8 minutes or until golden brown."
  • "I also like to make what I call Better Breakfast Biscuits. I stir 3 slices cooked and crumbled bacon into the Bisquick mix and leave out the garlic powder."
