Mouth watering chocolate cookie made using Betty Crocker® chocolate chip cookie mix.

Ingredients

1/2
cup butter or margarine, softened
1
egg
1
pouch (1 lb 1.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ chocolate chip cookie mix
1/3
cup unsweetened baking cocoa
1/4
cup water
1
container (1 lb) Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy coconut pecan frosting

Directions

  • 1 Heat oven to 375°F. In medium bowl, stir together butter and egg. Stir in cookie mix, cocoa and water until soft dough forms.
  • 2 Onto ungreased cookie sheet, drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart.
  • 3 Bake 7 to 9 minutes or until cookies are set. Cool 1 minute; remove from cookie sheet to cooling rack. Cool completely, about 15 minutes.
  • 4 Generously frost cookies with coconut pecan frosting.
Tips  

To help with mixing the softened butter and egg, try cutting the butter into small pieces.

Using a small ice-cream scoop, especially one with a spring release, is an easy way to portion the dough onto the cookie sheet.
