    Ingredients

    • 1/4  cup butter or margarine
    • 3/4  cup chopped celery
    • 3/4  cup chopped onions
    • 3 1/2  cups water or chicken broth
    • 8 cups rice bread cubed and dried in oven
    • 1 clove fresh garlic, minced
    • 1 1/2 Tablespoons poultry seasoning

    Directions

    1. 1Cube 1 loaf of rice bread, place on baking sheet in 300 degree oven for 40 minutes or leave out over night to dry. Melt butter in large saucepan over medium heat. Add celery, garlic and onions; cook and stir until vegetables are tender.
    2. 2Add water and poultry seasoning ; mix well. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat. Add bread cubes; toss lightly to combine.
    3. 3Use to stuff turkey, or place in greased 13x9-inch (3-quart) glass baking dish and cover with foil; bake at 350°F. for 25 to 30 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
    4. 4If desired, spoon stuffing into slow cooker. Keep warm on Low setting for up to 2 hours.

    Very good! I used Chef Paul Prudhomme's Magic Seasoning Blend: Poultry that i found at Kroger. I think I would add less seasoning next time as the spices were strong. Otherwise, wonderful recipe.

    Hi Anon - You can find poultry seasoning in the spice aisle at your local grocery store. This recipe calls for 8 cups of bread cubes.
