I want to try adding tiny marshmallows (the kind that comes in hot cocoa packets) Hopefully they won't melt on me if I wait til the end or even sprinkle them on top.

General Mills cut down on the box size since this was written. Now it's only 12oz

Hi! Mini marshmallows will melt more easily than normal-sized marshmallows. This will make it easier when mixing all the ingredients.

Why do they need to be mini marshmallows if you are just going to melt them?

I just made this by adding left over fruit loops to the cereal, Hersey chocolate syrup and a couple tablespoons of peanut butter. Yum!

I make it like this, but add a bag of chocolate chips. Easier than the bar of chocolate!

I like mine less chocolatey... I used no chocolate in the marshmallow mixture. I also reserved a large handful of the mini marshmallows before melting the rest. I mixed the reserved marshmallows, cereal, and a half bag of frozen mini chocolate chips, and then poured the marshmallow mixture over that. But I've also made them with the chocolate melted into the marshmallow. Whichever way you like em, this is the recipe to use. I DO NOT like the recipe that calls for Karo syrup in it. The cereal gets soggy every time.

I would suggest melting the butter then the marshmallows.... also 1 bar of chocolate is CLEARLY not enough! I used 3 and still think it could have had more!

Thanks! I couldn't find my recipe and thought it strange that I had such a hard time finding this version, which is certainly the easiest and tastes great. Thanks again!
