    Ingredients

    • 4 ripe Georgia peaches
    • 2 lb. fresh lemons
    • 1/4 cup dark brown sugar
    • 1 tsp vanilla
    • 6 cups water
    • 1 cup sugar

    Directions

    1. 1Preheat gas grill to medium-high heat.
    2. 2Wash peaches. Cut them in half, remove pits, then cut in half again (so each peach is quartered).
    3. 3In a medium bowl, add peaches, 1/4 cup dark brown sugar, and vanilla. Stir well to coat peaches and set aside.
    4. 4Wash lemons and cut in half. Juice the lemons so that you have about 2 cups of lemon juice. Pour lemon juice into a large pitcher and add 6 cups of water and 1 cup of sugar. Stir to combine and dissolve the sugar. Set aside.
    5. 5Place the peach quarters skin-side down on the hot grill and cook for 3 minutes. Using a tongs, turn the peaches and grill another 3 minutes. Remove peaches from grill.
    6. 6Skin peaches and blend in a blender (or use a food mill) to grind to a smooth pulp. Add the pulp to the lemonade mixture and stir to combine.
    7. 7Serve in tall glasses over ice, or chill in the refrigerator until serving. Garnish with mint leaves, sliced peaches or lemons or other fruit.
    8. 8Summer drinks: Use Grilled Georgia Peach Lemonade in any of your favorite summer lemonade beverages or cocktails! Example: make a virgin Arnie Palmer by combining half lemonade and half chilled ice tea. Add a splash of vodka to jazz it up!
