Grill up a tasty pork tenderloin glazed wtih maple syrup and herbs.

Ingredients

Glaze

2
tablespoons margarine or butter, melted
1/4
cup real maple syrup
1
teaspoon dried thyme leaves, crushed
1
teaspoon dried marjoram leaves, crushed
1/4
teaspoon salt
1/4
teaspoon onion powder
1/4
teaspoon garlic powder

Pork

1
(1-lb.) pork tenderloin

Directions

  • 1 Heat grill. In small bowl, combine all glaze ingredients; mix well. Set aside.
  • 2 When ready to grill, place pork tenderloin on gas grill over medium heat or on charcoal grill 4 to 6 inches from medium coals. Cook 20 to 22 minutes or until no longer pink in center, turning frequently and brushing with glaze during last 10 minutes of cooking time. Let stand 5 minutes. Cut pork into slices. Discard any remaining glaze.
Tips

To broil pork tenderloin, place on broiler pan; broil 4 to 6 inches from heat using times above as a guide, turning once and brushing with glaze during last 10 minutes of cooking time.

Grill flare-ups result from fat draining onto hot coals. Because pork tenderloin is lean, it grills quickly with few flair-ups.

Cook pork tenderloin to an internal temperature of 155°F. Pork dries out quickly; take care not to overcook it.

Grilled sweet potatoes go well with pork. Peel the potatoes and slice them about 1/2 inch thick. Drizzle them with olive oil, season as desired and grill on skewers or in a grill basket until slices are tender.
