Crackers go deep-sea diving into a bowl of this crab and herbed cream-cheese spread that's party perfect and easy to prepare ahead of time.

Ingredients

package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened

can (6 oz) lump crabmeat, drained

teaspoon minced garlic
1/4
teaspoon red pepper sauce

tablespoons chopped fresh basil

tablespoons chopped fresh oregano

sprig fresh basil

crackers or sliced bell peppers

Directions

  • 1 In medium bowl with spoon, mix cream cheese, crabmeat, garlic, pepper sauce, chopped basil and oregano until well blended. Spoon into serving bowl. Cover; refrigerate at least 30 minutes to blend flavors. Garnish with oregano or basil sprig.
  • 2 Serve crab spread with crackers.
Tips  

Increase the amount of red pepper sauce for more zip.
