Is it a pizza? Is it a sandwich you eat with a fork? There’s plenty of the cheese flavor that families love in this quickly prepared one-dish ground beef dinner.

Ingredients

1
pound lean ground beef
3/4
cup chopped onion
1
can (11 ounces) condensed Cheddar cheese soup
1
cup frozen mixed vegetables, if desired
1/4
cup milk
2
cups Original Bisquick™ mix
3/4
cup water
1
cup shredded Cheddar cheese (4 ounces)

Directions

  • 1 Heat oven to 400ºF. Generously grease rectangular baking dish, 13x9x2 inches. Cook ground beef and onion in 10-inch skillet over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until beef is brown; drain. Stir in soup, vegetables and milk.
  • 2 Stir Bisquick mix and water in baking dish until moistened; spread evenly. Spread beef mixture over batter. Sprinkle with cheese.
  • 3 Bake 30 minutes.
Tips

Sprinkle some chopped green onions on top after baking for a quick garnish.

At Betty’s Kitchen, we like using mixed vegetables that include corn. When used with ground beef and cheese, the flavor of corn hits the spot.
