Slice up a swirl of bright red and green! Colorful refrigerated sugar cookie dough puts the fun in holiday baking.

Ingredients

1
package (28 oz) Pillsbury™ red and green sugar cookies

Directions

  • 1 Between pieces of waxed paper, roll half of the red dough into 12x6-inch rectangle. Repeat with half of the green dough. Remove top pieces of waxed paper from each. Turn one rectangle upside down on top of the other; press down gently to seal. Remove top piece of waxed paper. Roll up tightly, jelly-roll fashion, starting from a 12-inch side, using waxed paper to help lift. Wrap rolled dough in waxed paper; freeze 45 minutes or until firm enough to slice. Repeat with remaining dough portions.
  • 2 Heat oven to 350°F. Using a sharp, thin knife, cut rolls into 1/4-inch slices. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until edges are firm. Cool 2 minutes; remove from cookie sheet to cooling rack. Cool completely, about 15 minutes.
Tips

Refrigerate the dough until you are ready to use it. When you remove part of it at a time, the dough will be easy to handle.
