Easy as 1-2-3, our homemade hot sauce is made with Fresno chilies and is ready in 20 minutes. Use now or refrigerate for later—it's a great gift idea too!

Ingredients

1
tablespoon olive oil
6
Fresno chiles
1/3
cup vinegar
1
teaspoon finely chopped garlic
Dash salt

Directions

  • 1 Heat grill pan over medium-high heat. Drizzle oil into pan, then add chiles. Cover; cook 5 minutes, turning occasionally, until softened.
  • 2 Cut top off each chile; place chiles in blender. Add vinegar, garlic and salt. Cover; blend on high speed until pureed.
  • 3 Store sauce tightly covered in jars or resealable containers in refrigerator up to 2 weeks.
Tips

Looking for a milder version of this hot sauce? Swap a red bell pepper for 4 of the Fresno chiles.

Looking for a hotter version of this hot sauce? Add 1 jalapeño and 2 serrano chiles for a tongue-singeing sauce!
