Hot Chocolate French Toast Bake

Make French toast more kid friendly by adding in the tasty flavors of hot chocolate! MORE + LESS -

Ingredients

can (13.9 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ cinnamon mini bites with icing

eggs
3/4
cup milk
1/2
teaspoon vanilla
1
package instant cocoa mix
1/2
to 1 cup miniature marshmallows
1/2
tablespoon chocolate-flavored syrup

    Heat oven to 350° F. Remove dough from 1 can (13.9 oz) Pillsbury™ refrigerated cinnamon mini-bites with icing; set icing aside. Separate dough into mini-bites; fold each in half and arrange evenly in bottom of ungreased 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.

    In medium bowl, beat together 2 eggs, 3/4 cup milk, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla and 1 package instant cocoa mix. Pour milk mixture over cinnamon roll pieces in pan.

    Bake 25 minutes or until center is set. Drizzle icing from can over top.

    Set oven control to broil. Sprinkle 1/2 to 1 cup miniature marshmallows over top of French toast bake. Broil 30 seconds or until marshmallows are golden brown.

    Drizzle 1/2 tablespoon chocolate-flavored syrup over marshmallows. Serve warm.

Expert Tips

  • Use a flavored instant cocoa mix if desired.
