Hot Chocolate Fudge Sauce

Rich chocolate sauce to use on ice cream, as a dip or just lick off a spoon! Should be refrigerated between uses. Warm in double boiler or microwave using 30-45 minute increments, stirring between.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cube unsalted butter
  • 2 squares unsweetened chocolate squares
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup cocoa
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

  1. Melt butter and chocolate squares in double boiler or microwave (if using microwave use 30-45 second time increments and stir after each).

  2. Remove from heat and add sugar, cocoa and salt. Blend well. Mixture will be slightly grainy.

  3. Add evaporated milk and vanilla.

  4. Stir 3 - 4 minutes until mixture is smooth.

  5. Transfer to clean storage. Keep refrigerated between uses.
