Hotter than Blazes Pizza

A quick vegetable pizza made with three different spicy cheeses, plus some red and green peppers for good measure.

Ingredients

1
Pillsbury™ refrigerated artisan pizza crust with whole grain
1/2
cup Muir Glen™ organic pizza sauce
4
ounces habanero jack cheese (springside cheese)
4
ounces alarm kombo (springside cheese)
4
ounces caribbean red hot jack (springside cheese)
1/2
red pepper, sliced
4
roasted green chiles
Cilantro Fresh (garnish)
Salt and pepper

Directions

  • 1 Preheat oven to 400°F and spread pizza dough out onto an ungreased baking sheet.
  • 2 Shred cheeses (I used a few spicy Springside Cheeses), slice red peppers, and chop green chile peppers.
  • 3 Add pizza crust to oven and bake for 6 minutes.
  • 4 Remove from dough and top with pizza sauce, cheeses, and veggie toppings. Season with salt and pepper.

Hotter than Hell Cheese Pizza

As prepared by Macheesmo,

This pizza is spicy, but it’s not dumb spicy.

What I mean is – it’s not so completely hot that you can’t even eat it. It’s enough heat to make you sweat though!

Springside cheese

This Hotter than Blazes Cheese Pizza has three different spicy cheeses on it, courtesy of Wisconsin’s Springside Cheeses: Habanero Jack, Caribbean Red Hot Jack, and 3 Alarm Kombo!

Cheese grated

Obviously, you need to grate the cheese for a pizza. I used about four ounces of each, which gave the final pizza an amazing flavor. You could use just one cheese if you wanted, though.

Dough rolled out

When you’re ready to make a pizza, preheat your oven to 400 degrees F and roll out the pizza dough on a baking sheet. I used Pillsbury Artisan Wheat Dough for this pizza.

Sauce spread

Bake the dough for 6 minutes with nothing on it so the crust firms up a bit. Then remove the pizza from the oven and spread the pizza sauce on top.

Cheese added

Top the pizza with cheese, naturally!

Toppings added

I also added some sliced red peppers and chopped Hatch green chiles for some extra heat and flavor.

Pizza baked

Stick the pizza back in the oven for 13-14 minutes until the dough is browned and the cheese is wonderfully melted.

When the pizza comes out, chop it up and garnish it with some fresh cilantro.

Don’t let the heat beat you on this one!
