Enjoy your dinner with this slow-cooked recipe featuring lamb, red potatoes and sweet peas.

Ingredients

1/4
cup all-purpose flour
1
teaspoon salt
1/4
teaspoon pepper
2
lb. lamb stew meat
2
tablespoons oil
6
small red potatoes (1 1/4 lb.), cubed
1/4
cup Dijon mustard
1/2
teaspoon grated lemon peel
1
tablespoon lemon juice
2
teaspoons chopped fresh rosemary or 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary leaves
2
garlic cloves, minced
1
(14-oz.) can beef broth
1 1/2
cups frozen sweet peas, thawed

Directions

  • 1 In resealable plastic bag, combine flour, salt and pepper; shake to mix. Add lamb; shake until evenly coated. Heat oil in 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat until hot. Add lamb; cook about 20 minutes or until browned, stirring occasionally. Drain.
  • 2 In 3 1/2- to 6-quart slow cooker, combine lamb and all remaining ingredients except peas; mix well.
  • 3 Cover; cook on low setting for 8 to 10 hours.
  • 4 Skim fat from juices in slow cooker. Stir peas into lamb mixture. Increase heat setting to high; cover and cook an additional 10 to 15 minutes or until peas are hot.
Tips

Biscuit Flat Breads are easy to make. Heat oven to 400ºF. Separate an 16.3-oz. can large refrigerated buttermilk biscuits into 10 biscuits. Place biscuits on ungreased cookie sheets. Press each into thin 6x5-inch oval; brush with beaten egg. Sprinkle with about 1/2 teaspoon sesame seed. Bake 6 to 9 minutes or until light golden brown and crisp. Cut into wedges, and serve warm.
