    Ingredients

    • 16  Meyer lemons
    • 1 Cup sugar
    • 1 750 ml bottle vodka
    • 1  Infusion jar (make sure it can seal tightly)

    Directions

    1. 1Peel all the lemons into strips with as little of the white part as possible and put them in sealable infusion jar. They should go halfway to the top of the limoncello jar. A few more or less is not terribly important.
    2. 2Add the cup of sugar first and then the liquor to within 1 inch of the top. Latch the lid of the jar tightly and shake the mixture vigorously.
    3. 3Shake once a day for 2 weeks.
    4. 4At the end of 2 weeks, strain the mixture into another container (a liquor bottle is a good choice) and place in the freezer.
    5. 5Serve your limoncello from your infusion jar. Serve in very small, chilled glasses. (It is potent!)

It is a very good drink. I use it also for vanilla ice cream. When I serve the Ice cream, I like to serve some on top. Makes a very good dessert!
