You can pull together this crowd-pleasing dessert in a moment's notice when you keep a few simple ingredients on hand.

Ingredients

2
cups frozen whole strawberries
1/4
cup sugar
1/4
cup orange-flavored liqueur
2 1/2
pints (5 cups) lemon sorbet

Directions

  • 1 In blender container or food processor bowl with metal blade, combine strawberries, sugar and liqueur; blend until smooth.
  • 2 To serve, scoop sorbet into individual dessert dishes. Spoon about 2 tablespoons sauce over each. If desired, garnish with additional fresh berries.
Tips

Sorbet is a French word used to describe smooth and refreshing frozen ices that contain no milk.

Substitute 1 teaspoon grated orange peel for the orange-flavored liqueur.

Scoop the sorbet into serving dishes ahead of time and put them in the freezer until shortly before serving time.
