Enjoy this light tiramisu sprinkled with chocolate – a delicious dessert that’s perfect for Italian cuisine.

Ingredients

oz. semi-sweet chocolate

cup sugar
1/4
cup refrigerated or frozen fat-free egg product, thawed
1 1/2
teaspoons vanilla

(8-oz.) pkg. fat-free cream cheese, cut into pieces, room temperature

(8-oz.) container frozen light whipped topping, thawed
1
tablespoon instant espresso powder
1/4
cup hot water
1
cup cold water
1
(13.5-oz.) fat-free pound cake or 10.75-oz. frozen reduced-fat pound cake, thawed, cut into 1/2-inch slices

Directions

  • 1 Shave chocolate with vegetable peeler or slicer, or finely chop chocolate with sharp knife or in food processor bowl with metal blade. Set aside.
  • 2 In food processor, process sugar and egg product for 30 seconds. Add vanilla; process until pale yellow, about 1 minute. Add cream cheese pieces a few at a time, blending until smooth. Transfer mixture to medium bowl. Cover; refrigerate 1 hour.
  • 3 Fold whipped topping into cream cheese mixture; set aside.* In large shallow dish, dissolve espresso powder in 1/4 cup hot water; add 1 cup cold water. Quickly dip cake slices into espresso, turning to coat all sides lightly. Arrange slices in bottom of 13x9-inch (3-quart) baking dish or 12-cup shallow dish, smoothing with fingers to mold cake slices together.
  • 4 Sprinkle with half of the chopped chocolate. Top with chilled cream cheese mixture. Sprinkle with remaining chocolate. Cover; refrigerate at least 3 hours or overnight before serving.

* Recipe can be prepared to this point and refrigerated for up to 2 days. Continue as directed above.
