Looking for an easy appetizer for a football play-off party? Combine two favorites, meatballs and sausages, to get these mouth-watering appetizers.

Ingredients

1
package (16 ounces) cocktail sausages
1
package (18 ounces) frozen cooked meatballs
1
bottle (18 ounces) barbecue sauce
1
cup maple-flavored syrup
3
tablespoons spicy brown mustard

Directions

  • 1 Mix all ingredients in 3 1/2- to 4-quart slow cooker.
  • 2 Cover and cook on high heat setting about 3 hours, gently stirring after 2 hours, until hot.
  • 3 Turn to low heat setting to serve. Serve with large serving spoon. Appetizers will hold on low heat setting up to 2 hours.
Tips

Cocktail sausages and meatballs are both easy and popular appetizers. Now you can serve them together in one simple dish. If you prefer just cocktail sausages or meatballs, use 2 packages of either one instead of combining them.

This easy appetizer is perfect fare for a football play-off party. Provide napkins and plates to match the team colors, and you'll wind up a winner - no matter what the final score is!
