These must-try morning muffins are packed with raisins and chopped pecans and made with brown sugar both in the streusel and in the batter!

2

1
tablespoon Original Bisquick™ mix
1
teaspoon butter, softened

Muffins

2
cups Original Bisquick™ mix
1/3
cup raisins
1/3
cup chopped pecans
1/4
cup packed brown sugar
2/3
cup milk
2
tablespoons vegetable oil
1
teaspoon maple flavor
1
egg

Directions

  • 1 Heat oven to 400°F. Grease bottoms only of 12 regular-size muffin cups with shortening or cooking spray, or place paper baking cup in each muffin cup.

  • 3 Bake 15 to 18 minutes or until golden brown. Cool slightly; remove from pan to cooling rack. Serve warm.
Tips

Jazz up these muffins by using brightly colored or patterned paper liners. Visit www.fancyflours.com for examples.

To avoid soggy muffins, take them out of the pan immediately after removing them from the oven.
