This recipe for a tender and moist maple walnut quick bread loaf is easy to make and perfect to serve on Thanksgiving.

Ingredients

teaspoons shortening

teaspoon Gold Medal™all-purpose flour

cups Original Bisquick™ mix
2/3
cup sugar

cup quick-cooking oats
1/3
cup chopped walnuts, toasted
1/2
cup vegetable oil
1/2
cup sour cream
1/3
cup real maple syrup
1/4
cup milk

eggs

Directions

  • 1 Heat oven to 350°F. Grease 9x5-inch loaf pan with shortening; sprinkle with flour.
  • 2 In large bowl, stir together Bisquick mix, sugar, oats and walnuts. Stir in remaining ingredients until blended. Pour batter into pan.
  • 3 Bake 1 hour 5 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean and bread is firm to the touch. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pan to cooling rack. Cool completely, about 1 hour.
