Hi @Anonymous! You can use a frozen concentrate to make the limeade or purchase an already made version (it's basically lemonade but made with lime juice instead!).

These were delicious! To hollow out the limes I went around the edge with a knife, squeezed out a bit of the juice, then I flipped the lime inside-out, and it was really quick and easy to peel them off. A big hit with everybody!

I used a muffin tin and filled each cup half way with rice to let them set up in, it worked great and was easy to clean up!

You hollow out the line, pour the jello mixture in, let it set, and then cut the lime into quarters

How does the jello stay in the lime halves when it's liquid? Or am I misunderstanding?

Would this still work if I used Lime jello AND the limeade?

Tastes just like a margarita! Removing the pulp is Very labor intensive. Used a grapefruit knife, But it still took over an hour for 2 batches. Impressed everyone at the party so I guess it was worth it.

Not sure what I did wrong, but they taste kind of like they had rubbing alcohol sprayed on them.

Put the limes in the freezer for about 15 minutes before you try to scoop them. Then cut them in half, slit them down the middle, turn them inside out and the pulp will much more easily peel out with your fingers.

These were a huge hit at friend's bday party. They are actually sort of classy. It is VERY hard to clean out the limes. It worked better when I squeezed out the juice, flipped them inside out and scrapped with with a vegetable peeler. Still tedious.

I just tried these and they are sooooo good! Everyone loved them. I only used 6 limes also, and I put them in a muffin tin so they would stand up. I cut the halves in 3 wedges each, so it made 36. Do not put the salt on until you are ready to serve, because it desolves very fast. I will definately make these again!

I just made these, and do not underestimate how tedious it will be to take the insides out of 12 limes. I stopped at 5, but this recipe only made enough to fill about one more lime than I had... maybe my limes were large? Other than that, the rest was a breeze!

-I forgot to buy limeade, so I made my own. -I also isn't have any sweetened lime juice, so I just added around a tablespoon of sugar in with the tequila, triple sec, and fresh lime juice. Then made sure it dissolved. ---the plus side of doing both of these is that I was able to use the insides of the limes! -Scooping the limes out takes quite a while until you get the hang of it. I slid a knife around the sides to help out the process. Made these for a happy hour with neighbors. Big hit! I was a little afraid of them being too college-like, but they were so cute I don't think anyone noticed.
