The creamy York™ peppermint patties are delicious surprises in these bonbons.

Ingredients

  • 24 large marshmallows
  • 12 York™ peppermint patties, chocolate covered, halved (from 8-oz bag)
  • 7 oz each green, red and white candy melts or coating wafers
  • 1 tablespoon holiday nonpareils

Steps

    Line large cookie sheet with cooking parchment paper.
  • 2
    With sharp knife, cut 1-inch wide and deep slit in one flat side of each marshmallow. Place peppermint pattie half into each marshmallow.

    Place candy melts in 3 small bowls. Working with 1 color at a time, microwave uncovered on High 1 to 2 minutes, stirring until melted and smooth.

    With 2 forks, dip marshmallows into melts. Place on cookie sheet; sprinkle with nonpareils. Let stand about 15 minutes or until firm.
