Bring back memories of Mom’s cooking with this chicken noodle soup – an easy-to-make dinner.

Ingredients

cups cubed cooked chicken
1
cup sliced carrots
1/2
cup chopped celery
1/2
cup chopped onion
1
parsnip, peeled, cubed (3/4 cup)

teaspoons chopped fresh parsley
1
teaspoon chopped fresh dill
4
(14 1/2-oz.) cans ready-to-serve chicken broth
3 1/2
oz. (2 cups) uncooked wide egg noodles

Directions

  • 1 In Dutch oven or large saucepan, combine all ingredients except noodles; mix well. Cook over medium heat for 20 minutes or until vegetables are tender, stirring occasionally.
  • 2 Add noodles; cook 15 minutes or until of desired doneness, stirring occasionally.
Tips  

To make this soup in advance, omit the noodles; stir in cooked noodles at reheating time. Fresh dill really boosts the flavor of this soup; if you dont't have it, substitute 1/2 teaspoon dried dill weed.
