    Ingredients

    • 18 cups Trix Cereal
    • 9 tablespoons butter or margarine
    • 32 ounces miniature marshmallows (3 bags)
    • 2 cups soft chocolate roll candy
    • 1/4 cup ready made fondant, yellow
    • 1/4 cup ready made fondant, green
    • 1/8 cup edible eyeballs
    • 2 cups chocolate candy melts, your favorite colors

    Directions

    1. 1Place one bag (approx 10.5 ounces) mini marshmallows and 3 tablespoons butter in a large microwave-safe bowl.
    2. 2Microwave on high for 2 minutes. Remove and stir. Microwave for 1 additional minute.
    3. 3Add 6 cups Trix Cereal and mix well to combine.
    4. 4Press mixture into a 9" round cake pan that has been sprayed generously with nonstick cooking spray. Let cool slightly before removing from pan.
    5. 5Repeat Steps 1-4 and place second "cake" on top of the first one.
    6. 6Repeat Steps 1-3 and press half the mixture into a 6" round cake pan that has been sprayed generously with nonstick cooking spray. Remove and repeat with second half of mixture. Place both layers on top of the larger "cake".
    7. 7Unwrap soft chocolate roll candies and place in medium microwafe-safe bowl. Microwave for 6-10 seconds until barely softened.
    8. 8Take small pieces of softened chocolate candy and roll between fingers to make tree" branches". Place all over cake.
    9. 9Roll out green fondant to 1/8" thickness. Cut out leaf shapes and pinch bottom of shape to form leaves. Place on branches all over the cake.
    10. 10Roll out yellow fondant to 1/8" thickness. Cut out small star shapes and place all over cake.
    11. 11Microwave candy melts in medium microwave-safe bowl at 30 second intervals, stirring after each, until melted and smooth.
    12. 12Place melted candy melts into a quart-sized freezer bag and snip off a small corner of bag. Draw owl shapes with candy melts on wax paper. Let dry until set, about 10 minutes.
    13. 13Remove owls and turn over. Add edible eyeballs to each and attach to cake with remaining candy melts or your favorite icing.
