This easy rainbow-inspired dessert tastes as good as it looks.
Classic no-bake cereal bars are always delicious, but who doesn’t love a good makeover? And these colorful Trix™ marshmallow bars are no ordinary treats.
These fun, brightly colored bars go beyond the basic marshmallow + butter + cereal formula with a layer of creamy, sweet white chocolate ganache and a colorful sprinkling of rainbow chips. They look impressive, but are actually super easy to make. So, let’s get started.
You know the drill. Start by melting the marshmallows and butter in the microwave…
…and stir in the cereal.
Add the marshmallow + cereal mixture to your pan and spread in an even layer. To keep clean-up to a minimum, I suggest you line your pan with non-stick foil first. If you don’t mind doing more dishes, you can spray the pan with non-stick spray instead. (Using your hands to form the bars? Spray your palms first with a bit of cooking spray, too—it’ll make the mixture easier to work with.)
Once you get the cereal spread out in the pan, it’s time to make the white chocolate ganache.
Then pour it over the bars (and enjoy licking the bowl clean).
Sprinkle on a package of Betty Crocker Rainbow Chip sprinkles to make these bars even more colorful.
Allow the bars to chill out in the refrigerator for a while before cutting them into squares, rectangles or even sticks.
And enjoy! These treats are tall, so open wide, and take a big bite.
