    Ingredients

    • 4 Hot dogs (any kind will work)
    • 80 Spaghetti noodles (about 1/4 pound)
    • Water (for boiling)
    • Pasta sauce (if desired)

    Directions

    1. 1With a sharp knife, slice the rounded ends off of the hot dogs, then slice each hot dog into 4 equal chunks.
    2. 2Slide 5 spaghetti noodles into each hot dog chunk, threading the meat about half-way onto the noodle (so equal lengths of noodle are on both sides of the hot dog chunk). Repeat until all noodles and hot dog pieces are threaded.
    3. 3In a large pan, bring 10-12 cups of water to a boil. Add Noodle Weenies, allowing them to sink into the water. (Don't push them down or the noodles will break off.)
    4. 4Reduce heat to medium, keeping a low rolling boil. Cook Noodle Weenies per the time recommended on the noodle package. (About 8 to 10 minutes.) Check noodles for doneness.
    5. 5When noodles are cooked, remove Noodle Weenies from boiling water with tongs or drain pot into a colander. Serve immediately with pasta sauce (if desired), salad and breadsticks.

Glad this recipe's been a hit! I'm not a super huge hot dog fan either, so the next time I make them, I'm goin' for brats or polish sausages instead. Anybody have any other ideas?

This was so cute I had to try it! Unfortunately, my boyfriend and I aren't the biggest fans of hotdogs, but this was still delicious. We put parmesan cheese and sweet chili sauce on the final product - a good combo. I will make this when I have children (with smaller pieces of hotdogs).
