This delicious smoothie is just the ticket to start your day!

Ingredients

2
cups coconut water, refrigerated
2
handfuls baby spinach leaves (3 cups)
3
celery stalks, chopped (1 cup)
1
Granny Smith apple, cored, seeded and chopped
1
medium banana (frozen)
1/2
lemon, peeled and seeded
1/2
cup fresh parsley leaves
1
avocado, pitted and peeled
1-inch piece gingerroot, peeled and chopped

Directions

  • 1 Place all ingredients in blender.
  • 2 Cover; blend on medium-high speed until very smooth. Serve immediately, or refrigerate until serving time.
  • 3 Pour into 3 glasses to serve.
Tips

If the texture of celery bothers you, remove the strings before chopping. This will result in a much smoother drink.

If desired, make this smoothie the night before, then refrigerate for a quick on-the-go breakfast in the morning.

Always read labels to make sure each recipe ingredient is gluten free. Products and ingredient sources can change.
