Try these deliciously decadent cookies made with a kick of citrusy orange and Truvia® Baking Blend to reduce sugar.

Ingredients

3/4
cup butter, softened
1/2
cup Truvia® Baking Blend
2
teaspoons vanilla
1
egg
1 1/4
cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
1/2
teaspoon baking soda
1
teaspoon grated orange peel
1
cup semisweet chocolate chunks

Directions

  • 1 Heat oven to 325°F.
  • 2 In large bowl, beat butter, Truvia® Baking Blend, vanilla and egg with electric mixer on medium speed until smooth. Stir in flour, baking soda and orange peel until well mixed. Stir in chocolate chunks. Drop dough by tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten cookies slightly.
  • 3 Bake 13 to 15 minutes or until edges are light golden brown. Cool 1 to 2 minutes; remove from cookie sheet to cooling rack.

Tips

If you don't have any oranges available, finely grated lemon peel is delicious in these cookies as a substitute.

Looking for something sweet to fix in a flash? Make the cookie dough ahead, and freeze raw in individual portions (we like using a small ice cream scoop to portion). Then, when you are wanting a sweet treat, defrost and bake as directed.
