Looking for a hearty dinner? Then check out this cheesy pasta and beef soup that is ready in 25 minutes.

Ingredients

1 1/2
cups uncooked rotini pasta (4 oz.)
1/2
lb. lean (at least 80%) ground beef
2
small zucchini, chopped (2 cups)
1/2
teaspoon dried oregano leaves
1
tablespoon all-purpose flour
1/4
teaspoon salt
1
cup milk
1
cup chicken broth
1
jar (8-oz.) pasteurized process cheese sauce

Directions

  • 1 Cook rotini as directed on package. Drain well.
  • 2 Meanwhile, in 2 1/2-quart saucepan, cook ground beef, zucchini and oregano over medium-high heat for 5 to 7 minutes or until thoroughly cooked, stirring frequently. Drain.
  • 3 Stir in flour and salt. Add milk, chicken broth, cheese sauce and cooked rotini to ground beef mixture; mix gently. Simmer about 5 minutes or until cheese is melted, stirring occasionally.
Tips

If you don't have rotini on hand, use elbow or shell macaroni. For an adult twist, use a cup of beer instead of the chicken broth.
