Dress up these classic blondie bars with peanut brittle for a tasty addition to your dessert table.

Ingredients

2 1/2
cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
2 1/2
teaspoons baking powder
1/2
teaspoon salt
1 1/2
cups packed light brown sugar
3/4
cup butter
2
eggs
3
cups coarsely crushed peanut brittle (about 14 oz)
2
teaspoons vanilla

Directions

  • 1 Heat oven to 350°F. Grease 13x9-inch (3-quart) glass baking dish with shortening; lightly flour.
  • 2 In medium bowl, mix 2 1/2 cups flour, the baking powder and salt; set aside. In 2-quart saucepan, cook brown sugar and butter over medium heat, stirring frequently, until butter is melted. Remove from heat; cool slightly. Add eggs, one at a time, beating until blended after each addition. Stir in flour mixture. Stir in peanut brittle and vanilla. Press dough in baking dish.
  • 3 Bake 25 minutes or until golden. Cool completely in pan on cooling rack. Cut into 6 rows by 4 rows.
