    Ingredients

    • 12 Ounces Frozen French Fries (about 3/4 of the bag)
    • 14 1/2 Ounces Canned Diced Tomatoes with Chipotle
    • 1 1/4 Pounds Sirloin Tip Steak
    • 1  Red Onion
    • 2 Tablespoons Chopped Cilantro
    • 3 Cloves Garlic
    • 1/4 Cup Diced Pickled Jalapeno
    • Rice
    • MARINADE
    • 1/4 Cup Red Wine Vinegar
    • 2 Tablespoons Soy Sauce
    • 1 Teaspoon Cumin
    • 1 Teaspoon Coriander
    • Salt
    • Pepper

    Directions

    1. 1Slice the steaks into thin strips and place in the marinade. Leave out while you do the rest of the prep so the steak can become room temperature in time to be cooked.
    2. 2Time the starting of the rice so it will be ready when the beef is.
    3. 3Thinly slice the onion, dice the garlic, chop the cilantro and jalapenos.
    4. 4Cook the fries to the package instructions.
    5. 5Start the onions in some olive oil and cook until softened, about 3 or 4 minutes.
    6. 6Add the beef and marinade, cook 3 minutes. Add the jalapenos and tomatoes. Cook 3 minutes. Add the fries, mix, and remove from heat
    7. 7Serve over rice and garnish with cilantro.

If you don't add the fries, it wouldn't be Lomo Saltado.

I've tried this recipe, without the fries; just put steak over rice. Dont need the double dose of starch.
