Ingredients

  • 4 teaspoons olive oil, divided
  • 1/2 lb flank steak
  • 1/2 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 4 oz baby bella mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/2 white onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 can (13.8 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Classic Crust Pizza Crust
  • 1/3 cup (roughly) favorite pizza sauce
  • 4 slices provolone cheese, torn or sliced
  • 2 pinches coarse salt and freshly ground pepper

Steps

  • 1
Preheat oven to 400°F. Heat 2 teaspoons of oil in a large skillet over medium. Season the steak with salt and pepper on both sides. Sear on one side for 6 minutes. Flip and sear another 5. Tent the meat and let it rest while you prepare the veggies.
  • 2
Back in the skillet, add the remaining 2 teaspoons oil. Add the onions and peppers; sauté until they start to soften and brown, about 5 minutes. Season with a pinch of salt. Remove from the skillet.
  • 3
Add the mushrooms to the skillet and sauté until they start to soften and brown, about 4 minutes.
  • 4
In the meantime, roll the pizza dough onto a lightly greased baking sheet. Prebake the dough for 8 minutes. Spoon the pizza sauce over the partially baked crust, followed by the onions, peppers, mushrooms, and steak.
  • 5
Lay the cheese on top of the veggies and meat. Bake another 6 to 10 minutes, or until the dough is cooked and the cheese has melted and is starting to bubble.
  • 6
    Slice and serve.
