In the mood for pizza but no crust on hand? Be creative and top pita bread with sauce, veggies, herbs and cheese!

Ingredients

Whole wheat or white pita bread
Pizza sauce or spaghetti sauce
Frozen vegetable medley, for adults
Italian seasoning, for adults
Shredded mozzarella cheese

Directions

  • 1 Place pita breads on cookie sheet; spread with pizza sauce to within 1/2 inch of edge. (For adults, cook vegetables as directed on package; drain and chop into small pieces, if desired. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning.) Sprinkle with cheese. Bake at 375°F until cheese is melted and pitas are hot. Cut into wedges if desired.
