Ingredients

cups heavy cream

tablespoons butter

garlic cloves, minced

large Yukon gold or red potatoes, peeled, thinly sliced

teaspoon pepper

cup (2 ounces) shredded Cheddar cheese

Directions

  • 1 Heat oven to 375°F. In large saucepan, combine cream, butter and garlic; heat over medium heat until hot. Add potatoes; cook until tender, about 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • 2 Stir in salt and pepper. Spoon potatoes and sauce into ungreased 12x8-inch (2-quart) baking dish; spread evenly. Sprinkle with cheese.
  • 3 Bake at 375°F. for 15 to 20 minutes or until bubbly.
