Pizza's always a favorite--and individual pockets make it extra special! At a party, kids could even make their own.

Ingredients

Pizza Dough
Vegetable oil
1/2
cup pizza sauce
1
cup shredded mozzarella cheese (4 ounces)
1
cup cooked mild Italian sausage
2
tablespoons finely chopped onion or 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/4
to 1/ teaspoon garlic powder
1/2
package (3-ounce size) sliced pepperoni
1/4
to 1/ cup pizza sauce
1
cup shredded mozzarella cheese (4 ounces)

Directions

  • 1 Heat oven to 425ºF. Lightly grease cookie sheets. Make Pizza Dough. Divide dough into eighths. Roll each into 6-inch circle on lightly floured surface. Fold loosely in half; place on cookie sheet and unfold.
  • 2 Lightly brush oil over dough. Divide and layer remaining ingredients, in order listed, on half of each circle; fold dough over filling. Turn edge of lower dough over edge of top dough; pinch edge to seal. Prick top with fork. Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.
Tips

Placing a few tiny holes in the top of your pizza pockets allows steam to release steadily during baking. This helps prevent larger holes from forming that allow filling to leak.

Dough ahead! Dough can be refrigerated up to 24 hours. Place dough in lightly greased bowl. Turn dough over to grease other side. Cover tightly with plastic wrap; refrigerate. For easier shaping, let dough stand at room temperature at least 20 minutes.
