I know. I know. You’re working so hard on your New Year’s resolutions.
You resolved to eat healthier, stay fit and avoid fried foods, and here I come with this mouthwateringly delicious-looking recipe for Pretzel Crusted Fried Cheese with Sweet & Spicy Mustard Dipping Sauce
. I know. You can hate me. Or you can take one day off from your disciplined regimen and make these, just once. Or twice. No one’s here to judge.
The thing is, there are few excuses to NOT make these. They’re easy to make, they require normal and easy to find ingredients (in fact, you probably already have most of them on hand) and above all, they’re amazingly yummy. Like, seriously good. So stop trying to look away and just succumb to it. Just give in to the deliciousness.
Here’s how to make these bites of cheesy, salty perfection:
First, get all your ingredients gathered and measured out, so you don’t waste time grabbing them as you go (and, in turn, giving yourself time to change your mind about these. Stick to the plan!).
Next, prepare the ingredients. That includes pulsing some cheese, and then pretzels, in a food processor and rolling that cheese into bite-size balls.
Kind of like these, actually.
And here they are all gussied up in pretzel garb. Aren’t they precious (and tasty-looking)?
After a bit of refrigerating, they’re ready to fry, fry, fry away.
And now, they’re ready to eat, with some sweet and spicy mustard dip on the side. Yumness.
