    Ingredients

    • 1  lb. lean ground beef
    • 1/2  cup Progresso® Italian Style Bread Crumbs
    • 2  tablespoons milk
    • 1  egg, beaten
    • 2  oz. provolone cheese, cut into four 1/2-inch-thick pieces
    • 1/2  cup Progresso® Marinara Sauce
    • 4  onion buns, split, or 8 slices coarse-textured bread
    • 1  garlic clove, peeled, cut in half

    Directions

    1. 1GRILL DIRECTIONS: Heat grill. In medium bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, milk and egg; mix well. Shape mixture into 8 patties, 4 inches in diameter. Place 1 piece of cheese on each of 4 patties; top with remaining patties. Pinch edges to seal well; flatten slightly.
    2. 2When ready to grill, place patties on gas grill over medium heat or on charcoal grill 4 to 6 inches from medium coals. Cook 12 to 16 minutes or until thoroughly cooked and cheese is melted, turning once.
    3. 3Meanwhile, heat marinara sauce in small saucepan over low heat until hot.
    4. 4While patties cook, place onion buns, cut side down, on grill. Grill until lightly toasted. While hot, rub cut side of garlic on toasted sides of buns.
    5. 5To serve, spread 1 tablespoon marinara sauce on bottom half of each bun. Top each with burger, 1 tablespoon marinara sauce and top half of bun.
