• I can’t think of a single party that my parents went to, that didn’t have Chex™ Mix. In fact, it’s one of the few reasons why I never really minded being dragged to their boring friend’s houses when they had game nights or football parties - at least there would be snacks and Chex™ Mix. It’s the only time I ever got it. And just think, if they would have had this Pumpkin-Spice Chex™ Mix, I might have never left their houses. Not sure why my mom never made it at home, I know she liked it. Perhaps she is like me, in that when you like something too much, it becomes dangerous to make it at home. (That is, dangerous to your pants size.) While the original Chex™ Mix is quite savory, it has evolved into many, many different recipes and flavors over the years. Like the “Muddy Buddy”, which is Chex™ cereal , chocolate and peanut butter. Since the original mix, the flavor varieties have exploded. I decided to add to that concept and make a fall-themed flavor. If you are rolling your eyes at the fact that the pumpkin seeds are salted, I assure you, that is the way to go. Salty and sweet snacks are the rage and for a very good reason… they are awesome and highly addictive! Make it and you will find out. Store the mix in an airtight container until ready to serve at your party.
