    Ingredients

    • 1 1/2 lbs fresh strawberries
    • 1/4  cup powdered fruit pectin
    • 2  cups sugar
    • 1/4  teaspoon nutmeg
    • 1  tablespoon lemon juice

    Directions

    1. 1Cut stems off strawberries and puree in blender.
    2. 2In 2-quart microwave-safe bowl, combine strawberries and powdered pectin; mix well. Microwave on HIGH for 8 to 10 minutes or until mixture comes to full rolling boil, stirring every 2 minutes. Stir in sugar, nutmeg and lemon juice. Microwave on HIGH for 4 to 6 minutes or until mixture comes to full rolling boil; stirring once halfway through cooking. Continue to boil for 1 minute. Skim foam.
    3. 3Spoon into 4 clean, hot 8-oz. jars; screw lids on firmly. Cool several hours. Store in refrigerator up to 3 weeks or in freezer up to 3 months.
