Ingredients

  • 1  can (21 ounces) cherry pie filling
  • 1/2  teaspoon almond extract
  • 1  cup Bisquick® Original baking mix
  • 1/4  cup milk
  • 1  tablespoon sugar
  • 1  tablespoon margarine or butter, softened
  • 2  tablespoons slivered almonds, toasted

Directions

  1. 1. Heat oven to 400º. Mix pie filling and almond extract in 1 1/2-quart casserole. Bake uncovered about 15 minutes or until hot and bubbly.

  2. 2. While cherry mixture is baking, stir remaining ingredients except almonds until soft dough forms. Drop dough by 6 spoonfuls onto hot cherry mixture. Sprinkle with almonds.

  3. 3. Bake uncovered 20 to 25 minutes or until topping is light brown. Cool slightly on wire rack. Serve warm.
