    • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
    • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

    • 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
    • 1 tbsp freshly grated parmesan cheese

I've made chicken parm with Kraft Fresh Takes Italian Parmesan and it is so EASY and yummy. I skip the browning in the pan and just follow the package directions then put it in a baking pan, cover it with sauce, cover the pan with foil and bake for 30 minutes. The last 10 minutes I remove the foil, top with the cheese that comes in the package and bake uncovered so the cheese melts all bubbly and yummy. A trick I've learned if you want the breading to adhere better is to put the breaded chicken in the fridge for about 20 minutes prior to baking. Using a package "mix" makes this dish so very easy!

Hi! You can certainly bake the chicken in the oven with marinara and cheese on top. Since we've never tried this, you'll want to keep an eye on the amount of time it takes before the chicken is ready. Start by baking at 350 F for 10 minutes, and check in every few minutes until the cheese is completely melted.

I'm a beginner at cooking, just wondering if I could put the chicken in the oven to melt the cheese that way?

A quick, delicious recipe for making the 'outstanding' Chicken Parmesan. As long as the entire family can enjoy the recipe, who cares if corners were 'cut'. Just be certain to purchase good, fresh cheeses to complement your chicken. You want a good aftertaste from the cheeses!
