Perfect for a hot summer night because no oven is required. This fast-fix lasagna is loaded with garden-fresh veggies, so just add fresh fruit and bread for a complete meal.

Ingredients

pound lean ground beef
1
package Hamburger Helper™ lasagna
3 1/2
cups hot water
1
cup shredded mozzarella cheese (4 ounces)
1
medium tomato , chopped (3/4 cup)
1
small green bell pepper, chopped (1/2 cup)
1/2
teaspoon dried oregano leaves
1/4
teaspoon garlic powder
Grated Parmesan cheese, if desired

Directions

  • 1 Brown ground beef in 10-inch skillet; drain.
  • 2 Stir in uncooked Pasta, Sauce Mix, water, mozzarella cheese, bell pepper, oregano and garlic powder. Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally; reduce heat.
  • 3 Cover and simmer 15 minutes, stirring ocasionally; remove from heat. Uncover and let stand about 5 minutes or until sauce is as thick as you'd like. Stir before serving. Serve with Parmesan cheese.
Tips  

If you prefer, use about 2 teaspoons minced garlic instead of the 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder.

Keep dried herbs fresh! Pour dried herbs into measuring spoons away from the skillet. Dried herbs stay fresh longer if they're not exposed to heat or moisture.
