"Baked" Venison Steak

Done in a crock to ensure tender and delicious baked deer steak. Serve with mashed potatoes to make it extra special. 2 servings

Ingredients

cup vinegar
3/4
cup Water
1
pound Deer Steak
1 1/2
Cup Milk
Flour
salt
pepper
2
cup Beef broth
1/4
medium sweet onion thinly sliced
1/4
cup worchester sauce
3
tablespoon corn starch
1/3
cup cold water

Directions

  • 1 Mix vinegar and water in container.
  • 2 Add steak and refrigerate for 2 hours
  • 3 Disgard vinegar mixture and rinse steak.
  • 4 Cover with milk and refrigerate for 8-12 hours or overnight.
  • 5 Remove steak from milk and coat with seasoned flour. (flour with salt and pepper added)
  • 6 Place onion in Crock pot and add steak. Cover with beef broth and worchester sauce. Cook on low for 8 hours.
  • 7 Remove steak, and add corn starch mixture. (corn starch and cold water). Cook on high until sauce is thickened.
  • 8 Add steak back to crock pot and serve.
