You select the vegetables to customize your own hearty sausage and potato skillet.

Ingredients

package Betty Crocker™ ranch potatoes
1/2
pound fully cooked smoked Polish sausage, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
2
cups hot water
2/3
cup milk
2
cups frozen loose-pack vegetables (any combination)
1
tablespoon yellow mustard

Directions

  • 1 Stir together all ingredients together except Topping in 10-inch skillet. Heat to boiling; reduce heat.
  • 2 Cover and simmer 16 to 18 minutes, stirring occasionally, until potatoes are tender..
  • 3 Sprinkle with Topping immediately before serving.
Tips  

Frozen loose-pack vegetables are commonly found in 14- to 16-ounce bags in your grocer's freezer (instead of a 10- to 12-ounce solid box.) Popular combinations include broccoli, carrots and cauliflower or sweet peas and carrots.

Lots of different smoked sausages are available these days. If you prefer, use smoked bratwurst, turkey sausage or even kielbasa instead of smoked Polish sausage.
