Ingredients

cup all-purpose flour

teaspoon onion powder
1/4
teaspoon salt
1/4
teaspoon dried rosemary leaves, crushed

teaspoon ground sage

boneless, skinless chicken breast halves, cut into long, thin strips

tablespoon oil

Directions

  • 1 In shallow bowl, combine flour, onion powder, salt, rosemary and sage; mix well. Generously coat chicken pieces with flour mixture.
  • 2 Heat oil in large skillet over medium-high heat until hot. Add chicken; reduce heat to medium. Cook and stir 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned on all sides and no longer pink.
Tips  

Serve the herbed chicken in a pita pocket with a dollop of sour cream or plain yogurt and some chopped fresh tomato or chopped bell pepper.
