
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 can (20 ounces) pineapple chunks in syrup, drained and syrup reserved
- 3 tablespoons white vinegar
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 medium green bell pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 small onion, sliced

Instructions
- Mix brown sugar and cornstarch in Dutch oven. Add enough water to reserved
pineapple syrup to measure 2 1/4 cups. Stir syrup-water mixture, vinegar, ketchup
and soy sauce into brown sugar mixture. Cook over medium-high heat, stirring
constantly, until mixture thickens and boils. Stir in pineapple, bell pepper and
onion; reduce heat. Cover and simmer 5 minutes.
