Ingredients

  • 2  to 2 1/2 lb. beef round steak, cut 3/4 inch thick
  • 1  cup sliced carrots
  • 1/2  cup sliced celery
  • 1/3  cup chopped onions
  • 1  (14 1/2-oz.) can Green Giant® Classic Recipe Stewed Tomatoes
  • 1  (8-oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1/4  teaspoon coarse ground pepper

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350°F. Cut meat into serving pieces. Arrange in bottom of 13x9-inch (3-quart) baking dish. Cover. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until meat is tender.

  2. In large bowl, combine remaining ingredients. Spoon tomato mixture over meat. Cover. Bake for 50 to 55 minutes or until meat is no longer pink and vegetables are crisp-tender. Serve over hot cooked rice.
